I’ve known the Kelso family for years and Kori (mom)  has been saying “We haven’t had any family photos for years and years!” Well…we did it.  The Kelso have some new images of their beautiful, sweet family.  I had a blast with them!  We shot in one of my favorite spots in Laguna Beach canyon and the end of the day light was perfect. I hope these hang in their home and remind them of how blessed they are for the next 50 years. P.S. Mom gets the modeling award for this shoot, check out the B&W diptych below!

I had the privilege of photographing the Viswanath family while they were in California during the holidays. We shot here in Laguna in both an “urban/alley” setting and at at the beach. Enjoy!

Razin Family | Holiday 2010

December 9, 2010

Here is our latest slideshow of the Razin Family which was shot here in Laguna Beach, CA. Anita and her family were amazing to work with!

I met Lexi and Jon at a bridal show this past year and they decided to do a family shoot with me, prior to their wedding. I also got to know Franky and Klank during the shoot. Klank got lots of attention around town, being the beautiful, large great dane that he is and Franky made me laugh with his great personality. Thank you guys, I had a great time! Enjoy the images!

Circle Family Photoshoot!

April 24, 2010

As I pulled up to my house after having just shot the Circle family, I began to feel some stomach pain. (Don’t worry Circle’s it’s not your fault!) I ended up at the hospital that night after the shoot and had my appendix removed!  Luckily, I was able to squeeze this shoot in just before!  The Circles’ are a family that I’ve worked with for several years and I genuinely love them.  Kyle, (son) used to manage one of my friend’s bands  and we’ve known each other since my PAX217 (former band) days.  The entire shoot of the Circle Family was so much fun. They weren’t stressed, they’re sweet to each other, patient, and Mom (Jan)  comes prepared with waters and snacks for the whole fam!  Take a look at a few pictures I took of them: They are a family that gives me hope.  I hope to provide for my kids in the ways that Doug and Jan have, it’s brilliant.

Jan & Doug, the heads of the household.  I am so inspired by how their passion continues! They are so in love with each other and seriously, I felt like I was doing an engagement photoshoot of them! May you two have many, many more years of love and happiness to come.

Myers Family Photoshot

November 25, 2009

Last week I photographed the Myers family at the Lab, and they’re one of the sweetest families I’ve worked with. Lisa, mom, and Aubrey battled each other for who’s cutest, I think Aubrey won.I love the modern contemporary feel that the Lab brings to the table. Thanks Lab, I love you! Check out the slide show below!

The Craig’s!

August 31, 2008

Yesterday I photographed my friend Jesse, his wife Renae, and their son Braeden.  It was recently Braeden’s  1st birthday and they wanted some images of him and their family during this time.  Jesse and I were band mates for about 8 years in PAX217 and it’s quite a privilege to be asked to photograph them.  1. Because they’re really, really, really, rediculously good looking. 2. I photographed Renae for her maternity and I love being apart of the continuim of a family.  I was in their wedding, photographed her pregnancy and now Braeden.

This is where being a photographer trumps other professions.  Doctors may see you every 6 months cause you’re sick,  or a hair stylist once a month, because your mullet is getting a bit out of control, but I get to see them on major events, and help create major events, that last forever.  This job is about relationships and that, I LOVE.  The idea of legacy in a “digital world” has been lost in many ways.  I look at these images and think, “Jesse must be proud, he has a son, a wonderful wife, and his son’s children’s children will sit around a table looking at these images and speak of who he was.  We all have about 3 million snap shots on our computers and we are so used to seeing “every” moment from the camera that I think in about 30 years, we’ll start actually appreciating what was invested to create these photographs. …..and that is my tangent for the evening. Thanks for walking with me through it.

SO…Craig family,  thank you and I hope you enjoy these, it was great being with you.  Braeden, you rock!

David Rocco Tosti

August 29, 2008

I am so proud to announce the birth of my little boy, David (“beloved”)  Rocco (“rest” in Italian) Tosti.  He was born at 2:42am Sunday August 24th, 2008 at Mission Hospital.  Ya he’s beautiful, dangerous, gentle, loving, kind, pure genius, listens to Bob Dylan, Michael Phelps like, and…what?!! There’s a few things on this planet that you can be prideful about, and a daughter or a son is one of those, and I’m taking it! As I mentioned in my last post, I finished Kathy & Jason’s wedding a bit early and headed to the hospital.  Just less than 2 hours later, he showed up.  I’ve made it a mission to now photograph these moments in other people’s lives.  Something I’ve wanted to do over the last few years.  If anyone you know about to give birth, is looking for some images like these, of their new little one, I would be honored.

Rocco, may you always know how loved you are, how valuable you are, how incredibly unique you are, and may you use that knowledge to give, love, and be grace to everyone you meet on this planet.  i love you son.

Faith & Ruby

May 19, 2008

I had so much fun today photographing Faith & Ruby.  They have both been with us helping us in our time of “bed rest” during this pregnancy.  It was the least I could do to say “thank you.”  Love you both very much and you too Brady!  We shot about 5 different locations here in Laguna.   We went a little vintage, they highlighted they’re big hair, and Ruby rocked the sweet lil’ tutu dress! You two are amazing, thanks for gettin a little spicy like our Thai dinner tonight.
