William is undoubtedly the coolest 1 year old I’ve met, well, other than my little Rocco of course. His family celebrated the Korean tradition called Toljabee, at Tustin Ranch Country Club. The Toljabee is said to predict the child’s destiny. If so, then maybe when I’m older I’ll be visiting his practice, hint hint. I really enjoyed getting to know the entire family. William’s grandpa rocked a sweet bow tie & William had two wardrobe changes (that might say something about his future too! so fashionable!) Thanks William and the Chun family, I had an amazing time documenting this time in your life! Check out the slide show below.

Maddie, Keaton, and Sarah had their “decent” birthday party on April 25th at Seven Degrees.  Ok, it wasn’t “decent,” it was insane!  These girls had the party of a life time, at 13.  I wonder what their fourteen or even their sweet sixteen will be like?!  The dance floor lit up, the theme was as neon as you could possibly be,  get all jacked up at Keaton’s Kandy bar and send a text to the huge text message board.  Check out the shot of the cakes, where Maddie’s mom send her a text to the large text board.   I was impressed with their dancing most of all, because, just like any 13 year old’s party, it started with the the boys on one side and the girls on the other. However, thanks to some good tunes and the candy bar, I think they got out there pretty quick.

I had so much fun photographing these kids,  they had a blast and didn’t need to drink cocktails, just a lot of sugar:)  Happy birthday girls, you rocked it!

Dee is such a beautiful woman with a vibrant and young spirit, as you can see in these images! Take a look at the celebration her and her family put together in the slide show below. I love the Eastern theme, all the thoughtful details, Floral and Event design was handled by the lovely people at 7 Degrees.

Music for a Cure is a non-profit that my friend Murphy and Julie Karges began in 2002. Devoted to bringing music to critically Ill children, MFAC is doing some truly impacting work. Murphy is the bass player in the band Sugar Ray, and was inspired to begin MFAC after a dear fan of theirs past away due to cancer. I truly believe music is one of the most healing, freeing, inspiring gifts that we have on earth. Take a minute and check out the slide show from the Fashion Rocks fundraiser at Seven Degrees (one of my favorite venues). Thanks to all of you who gave in support of what MFAC is doing. If you have any desire to give financially or musically, please go to musicforacure.org and connect with them!  p.s. The song for this one…I just had to :)

This past sunday I had the priviledge of being a part of a unique intimate bridal soiree hosted by Fleur de Lis Events. It was an awesome time to connect with brides and grooms, hear about their lives and their wedding plans without the choas that can sometimes be at larger bridal events.  It was hosted at Adina’s home (owner of Fleur de Lis)  in Newport Beach.  The sushi was amazing, Damon played good tunes, and I had a fun time shooting Alicia who was wearing her L’ezu dress!  She is a queen for sure, so much fun!  We had a great time and she knows how to work the camera.  Check the slideshow! Also I must mention Newport Beach Winery, an award winning wines and amazing venue!

Details from Louis Vuitton

October 30, 2008

This past week, I photographed some details at Louis Vuitton (South Coast Plaza) for the wonderful White Lilac.   They did a great job utilizing a small space for the luncheon there.  The space felt very open and “free.”  That is huge as you don’t want your event whether a wedding or small luncheon to feel “cramped.”  Beautiful job!  I posted a bunch of shots cause, well, it’s all about the details! OH, and I couldn’t help it, as I left the store I HAD to check out the new mens collection, awesome.

I posted some photos from the opening party and those were nice, however, here is an even better picture of what went down. Thanks to my good friend and great videographer David Sager (sagerproductions.com) for putting this together!

YPO Christmas party

December 9, 2007

I had the priviledge of photographing a party for the YPO of orange county last night.  There are certain times when you are in the presence of greatness, not necessarily of “success” but of those who have worked incredibly hard, believed in themselves and have reached a certain level that is quite inspiring.  In other words, i was in a room of Mr. miagi’s and i was Daniel son, with my camera. I thought i would post a few of my favorites.

This gentleman apparently has won the world championship for solving the rubics cube  the fastest. He even solved it behind his back. hey, if you’re gonna do something, do it better than anyone else.

rubics cube man

Yes he looks the part and plays the part quite well.
