The day was perfect out at Crystal Cove and the three of us had a great time working together. The two will be married on January 11th, a few days from my 10 year anniversary! (1.14.01) Now they have a few months to enjoy the images before they get hitched. I have to admit, I was a bit jealous that they left the shoot to head to LA to see Muse. Congrats you two!

We had a great time shooting at the LA Live area until we were quickly addressed by the heightened security guard. The shoot went well considering we were stopped for quite some time. You can always work around life’s challenges right? Looking forward to your wedding day you two!

After having been a fan of my former band PAX217, Jonathan tracked me down on wikipedia to be their photographer. I’m honored to be apart of he and Michal’s life! We met at the LA Live area in downtown LA to shoot. We were “shut down” by the security in the 1st 5 minutes of the shoot! Security is heightened since the NY Times Square bomb scare.  Never the less, we had a great time, enjoyed dinner at Yard House in the middle of the shoot as we wanted to shoot at night a bit. I love shooting at night! Here are a few images, more to come in the future! Great to spend so much time with you two, dinner was great and so was the dark ale that Jonathan suggested!

Last Weekend, Tosti Studios had the opportunity to hang out at the Festival of Brides at the The Four Seasons West Lake Village and meet some awesome couples. I always get excited meeting couples who are on their wedding planning journey and who are having so much fun coordinating their big day.  I’m especially impressed when the groom comes along! Extra points for that gentlemen.   To all you future brides and grooms out there, wedding planning might seem like a long and arduous process at times but trust me it’s all worth it in the end! I am thrilled for you to view this engagement slide show! In our meeting, Michelle & Tim told me that they both love the California coastline and wanted to do something “beach oriented” and we both agreed to go out of the norm from the common, “on the beach” shoot. So, yours truly suggested “a day on the CA coastline” kind of feel. I think we did just that! We began in Newport Beach on the Balboa Peninsula and worked our way down south towards Laguna Beach. I approached this shoot from an editorial point of view, as I usually do, however, I worked extra hard to pull of some nice props as you’ll see.

I must say that Michelle did her homework and found some fabulous attire at Neiman Marcus, had her hair and make up done right and she looked amazing! Thanks you two, I look forward to your wedding day, it’s going to be incredible. Michelle and Tim are going to be married in September at the wonderful Seven Degrees.

I photographed Evelyn and Tony’s engagement the day after Christmas. They were here on vacation for the holidays from NYC and wanted to utilize the CA coastline.   They are a wonderful couple!  I thought I would go ahead and step out on a limb here with the music to this one.  Why?  Because this song is from Tony’s favorite band, just listen.  These are the things I find out as I make an effort to truly connect with my clients.  Love this shoot!  We photographed this at the St. Regis in Monarch Beach, perfect weather, a little breeze and clear skies just after it had rained.  Enjoy!

I am so behind on blogging, it’s just not right.  Life has been busy for David Tosti.  I just spent an extraordinary weekend in Boca Grande, FL. photographing a wedding with my friend Joe Photo.  It was mind blowing to say the least.  I don’t have any images available as they are exclusive to the couple.  I wish I could say more and show more, but somethings are indescribable and copyright protected.

However!  I do have Lindsay and Geoff’s images to share with you.  I photographed their engagement here in Laguna Beach at the beginning of the month.  They are going to be married in AZ and wanted to have their engagement photos done at the beach.  Thanks again you two! I had a great time working with you and I have to hand it to them.  We were out at the end of a huge rock, looking for the crashing waves to help us out in some photos, and they did, just a little too much.  Look out for the shot where the water is all over my lens!
