A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of photographing Caroline and Gerard’s wedding here in Laguna Beach. They stayed at the wonderful Hotel 741, one of Laguna’s most unique, modern, boutique hotels.  A few close friends gathered for champagne and then headed down to the beach for the relazed ceremony.  Gerard and Caroline live in Switzerland, and decided  they wanted a california wedding. They are one of those couples that you just feel at home and connected with, immediately. I had a wonderful time and I love the images that we created, enjoy the slide show!

Last Weekend, Tosti Studios had the opportunity to hang out at the Festival of Brides at the The Four Seasons West Lake Village and meet some awesome couples. I always get excited meeting couples who are on their wedding planning journey and who are having so much fun coordinating their big day.  I’m especially impressed when the groom comes along! Extra points for that gentlemen.   To all you future brides and grooms out there, wedding planning might seem like a long and arduous process at times but trust me it’s all worth it in the end! We had a drawing for an engagement photoshoot giveaway, and the winner is…. ASAL SEDGHI!  Congratulations again Asal! I look forward to working with you! Please connect with us to schedule your shoot and talk about what we’re going to do to tell your story best.engagement-shoot-winner01991

I’ve known Jen for years and it was such an honor to photograph her wedding. Both Jen & Brad are really sweet and full of joy. The wedding was held at the church I grew up in, Mission Hills Community Church. That alone made it special. Dr. Mike Beals, the pastor, led an incredibly warm and inspiring ceremony, something that I think is often overlooked in the world of weddings.  The reception was held at the www.belltowerfoundation.org.  I had the pleasure of working with Gabriel Ryan, who shot with me as 2nd photographer. We had a great time working together!  Great coordinating by In The Now Weddings. The bridal party was awesome, lots of great friendships made for some great images.  Here is a little gallery of some of my favorites (look out for the shot of Gabriel and I). Thanks again, blessings to you Jen and Brad!

Married on September 26th at Seven Degrees, Michelle and Tim had a wedding that would compare to most star weddings. Michelle was quite the star too! You may remember seeing their engagement slide show, which was such a fun shoot! Check out their wedding slide show. Oh and a special request song by the couple for the slide show.

Madia & Brendon’s Wedding

August 18, 2009

Madia and Brendan are some of the sweetest people I have ever had the priviledge of working for. This was a spectacular day on the coast.  Madia looked amazing didn’t she!?   She kept asking me in her wonderful Portuguese accent, “Are you hungry? You must have something to eat.”   Thank you both for your generoisty! There wedding was held at Laguna Cliffs Marriott in Dana Point, Ca. It was small, intimate, and there was an evident deep connection between the two of them and with their family. Here are a few shots from the wedding, the slide show will be up soon as well.  There were a few insane moments, my favorite was the “sparkler shower.”

Happy Birthday Grandma! Today is her official birthday. Lucille Tosti is 90 years old today and is still rockin it!
Yesterday, my Italian grandmother was greeted by about 50 friends & family from all over the country, as we celebrated her life (90′s on planet earth!). We had a blast! I took some photographs, ran a slide show, shot video and sang happy birthday on stage with my sweet daughter, Sophia.
Here’s a few shots that I took of Grandma before the party. It’s 95 degrees out, she’s 90, and she’s rockin this! We spent literally 8 minutes shooting. All I wanted was one great shot, we got several, here are my favorites.
My grandma was a dancer and it shows! Notice the last two, I asked her to tip down her “gansta” glasses, and then the next she just busted out with a “what!” and gave the camera some attitude that would have made Marlin Brando proud. She’s the sweetest woman in the world. La mia nonna è così bella! Ti amo nonna!

My new video!

July 20, 2009

YES! It’s here! I have a new promotional video showing yours truly, at work. Bruce and Tao came in from Arizona to have me photograph their vow renewing. It was quite the intimate occasion. Just the couple, a minister, and then we shot for a few hours getting some new images of them on the beach. We were lucky enough to be able to shoot at a private beach here in Laguna which allowed for an open beach. It may take just a few seconds to load, that way you won’t have any skipping. Enjoy!

David Tosti works with couples from all over the world photographing the moments as well as creating scenes which bring out his fashion influences.

Maddie, Keaton, and Sarah had their “decent” birthday party on April 25th at Seven Degrees.  Ok, it wasn’t “decent,” it was insane!  These girls had the party of a life time, at 13.  I wonder what their fourteen or even their sweet sixteen will be like?!  The dance floor lit up, the theme was as neon as you could possibly be,  get all jacked up at Keaton’s Kandy bar and send a text to the huge text message board.  Check out the shot of the cakes, where Maddie’s mom send her a text to the large text board.   I was impressed with their dancing most of all, because, just like any 13 year old’s party, it started with the the boys on one side and the girls on the other. However, thanks to some good tunes and the candy bar, I think they got out there pretty quick.

I had so much fun photographing these kids,  they had a blast and didn’t need to drink cocktails, just a lot of sugar:)  Happy birthday girls, you rocked it!
