I’ve had great reviews from those who have taken this beginner digital photography class and I’m excited to host another this coming January. I like these classes to be intimate, so we have a limit of 7 students per class. The first class times are listed in the flyer here below. Once we need to move to a second class, we’ll email or call those who are interested and we’ll find out what works best for those enrolling. This first class begins at 3pm on January 17th (Sundays) for 3 consecutive weeks. This is always a fun class and a great way to meet other local photographers. Start 2010 off with something to inspire your photography aspirations, enroll in TOSTI 101 today! Call the studio to enroll yourself or someone else as a holiday gift!

Myers Family Photoshot

November 25, 2009

Last week I photographed the Myers family at the Lab, and they’re one of the sweetest families I’ve worked with. Lisa, mom, and Aubrey battled each other for who’s cutest, I think Aubrey won.I love the modern contemporary feel that the Lab brings to the table. Thanks Lab, I love you! Check out the slide show below!

I’ve known Jen for years and it was such an honor to photograph her wedding. Both Jen & Brad are really sweet and full of joy. The wedding was held at the church I grew up in, Mission Hills Community Church. That alone made it special. Dr. Mike Beals, the pastor, led an incredibly warm and inspiring ceremony, something that I think is often overlooked in the world of weddings.  The reception was held at the www.belltowerfoundation.org.  I had the pleasure of working with Gabriel Ryan, who shot with me as 2nd photographer. We had a great time working together!  Great coordinating by In The Now Weddings. The bridal party was awesome, lots of great friendships made for some great images.  Here is a little gallery of some of my favorites (look out for the shot of Gabriel and I). Thanks again, blessings to you Jen and Brad!

William is undoubtedly the coolest 1 year old I’ve met, well, other than my little Rocco of course. His family celebrated the Korean tradition called Toljabee, at Tustin Ranch Country Club. The Toljabee is said to predict the child’s destiny. If so, then maybe when I’m older I’ll be visiting his practice, hint hint. I really enjoyed getting to know the entire family. William’s grandpa rocked a sweet bow tie & William had two wardrobe changes (that might say something about his future too! so fashionable!) Thanks William and the Chun family, I had an amazing time documenting this time in your life! Check out the slide show below.

I’ve been able to show some great emerging artists this past year at my studio gallery and James and Orion prove to be “those artists.” As a photographer, I have had an interest in documenting those who have joined with me in presenting their work at the gallery. I recently spent some time interviewing them on their exhibit currently showing called “Futureproof,” and thought I would put this video out to share a bit more of who they are. The sense of community that you might feel amongst the artists has made a mark here in Laguna. I love this. I’m inspired by how these two continue in dialogue about their work to push each other to excellence.
“Futureproof” is the next step in progression for them as friends and artists. In this video, James & Orion, alumni from LCAD share a bit about their new series of paintings. Join us for the closing reception Saturday November 21st 7-10pm! Check out tostistudiosgallery.com for more information.

Halloween photo party!

November 2, 2009

This past Saturday, I held a Halloween photo party at TOSTI STUDIOS and if you’ve ever thought I took myself too seriously, maybe you’ll reconsider after seeing me here….”Buddy the elf, what’s your favorite color?”  I love the movie Elf, and my little sophia who was Minnie mouse, wanted me to be Goofy, so I compromised and bought the Buddy the elf costume.  Thanks to everyone who came to the party!  Here are a few photos from the party.  My compliments to the most beautiful princess Leia (my wife Alli) and Yoda (my little Rocco).  They took the cake.  They cruised Laguna and everyone stopped in their tracks to see these two.  Cheers to all of you who dressed up, even if you didn’t make it to the party…more themed photo parties to come!
