Whoa, this is weird.  I’m going to be thirty big ones tomorrow.  I actually never thought I’d get to this age, not because I’m morbid, but because 30 year old’s are OLD.  They have 2.5 kids, They wear Gap, exclusively, they drive minivans, they play pictionary on friday AND saturday nights with their other OLD friends who also have 2.5 kids and have to find “sitters” and then cancel the pictionary party  because little tommy “looks as if he may get sick, so, we’d better not.” (I’m winded just typing that)

I’m feelin pretty good right now, even as I’m writing this, because I sold my minivan a few months ago, Gap is not in my closet, I do not like pictionary, I do tend to work on Sat. nights but hey that doesn’t mean that when I get home about 11pm from a wedding that I don’t enjoy the “nightlife” here in Laguna.  My beautiful pregnant wife and I will soon have 2 children, which does absolutely blow my mind.  I am going to be a father of TWO, count that, 2 children.  I am lucky, and a bit leary of how I’m going to do at that.  Grace will have to work with me on this, I am puttin my money on that.

Here’s my “almost-30-year-old-self portrait” Look at those tired eyes that say,  “i’ve been working really hard on opening my new Tosti Studios space in Laguna, I am excited, I promise!”

Faith & Ruby

May 19, 2008

I had so much fun today photographing Faith & Ruby.  They have both been with us helping us in our time of “bed rest” during this pregnancy.  It was the least I could do to say “thank you.”  Love you both very much and you too Brady!  We shot about 5 different locations here in Laguna.   We went a little vintage, they highlighted they’re big hair, and Ruby rocked the sweet lil’ tutu dress! You two are amazing, thanks for gettin a little spicy like our Thai dinner tonight.

Congratulations Joy Wilson!  Joy (from Tenesse) won the $15 itunes card for knowing the movie quote “Calvin, calvin klein, that is your name isn’t it?”  It was from one of my all time favorite films, “Back to the Future.”

Thanks for stayin tunes to the blog!  I’ll be doing more of these fun give-a-ways.

I have been shooting a ton lately and haven’t made much time to blog, it’s bumming me out. I thought I’d grab a few recent images and post them all. I’ve got a full weekend of work ahead of me and I’m really looking forward to being a part of Dave and Rio’s (check out their site) wedding on Saturday!

I’ll show you my last week in a few photos….

Thursday I spent sometime up in LA at the Standard hotel, amazing, love it, gotta check it out if you have’t been before. I covered an artist preview event for OCMA (which by the way is an awesome place to have your wedding!) This shot of two artists feet was the shot that stood out the most to me, cause its elusive and i love good shoes. love em.

Drove back from LA Thursday night & did some time at South Coast Plaza at Calvin Klein, for Riviera magazine. It’s fun, I get to meet so many new, interesting people. This was a young model that was there to show off Calvin’s new stuff. “Calvin, Calvin Klein, that is your name isn’t it.” A quote from what movie? 1st one to email me will recieve a $15 itunes card.

Then I headed over to Fashion Island for a little Newport beach film Festival opening party. Needless to say I had a good long day, and I was ready to go to sleep at 12:30am when I left, but I think I went home and edited some images. brilliant.

Saturday night I went to Prime Urban in Santa Ana to cover an art show that was raising funds to provide wells for villages in poverty stricken areas of the world. I love seeing my generation doing work like this. They created an awesome event, had fun, and raised money for a good cause. Check out epicthemovement.org

Sunday I shot with my good friend Jaimee at the Fullerton Aboretum, pretty cool spot, although it wasn’t as lush as I’ve seen it. Thank God the weather cooled down, it started out at 95 degrees. img_1668.png

I guess that’s all I did…oh wait I hung out with My fam, Sang at church, and edited images…wow.
