Alissa’s Maternity

April 23, 2008

In my last post, I mentioned that I would try to catch up on all these past shoots, I don’t know if i’ll get to the other weddings, but I’m sure going to try.  In the meantime, here is some of my recent work.  I spent some time with Alissa and Kyle 2 weekends ago, photographing them in Corona Del Mar.  It was so fun, Alissa was loving the camera and it loved her back!  She allowed me to see the fun giggly side of her and the beautifully, confident side. You are beautiful and I can’t wait to me the little one in July!

It may go with out saying, but I notice after going through the images, that there is a lot diverse work here.  We, and I mean we, spent a lot of time together, and we had a blast.  This is what it’s about, putting in the time, wardrobe, having your make-up/hair done by an artist, a great location. It has a great results.  We’re all stoked on this shoot and this is something that Alissa and Kyle will have forever….another thing that I love about my job, creating an experience that lasts visually and emotionally, forever.  Loved working with you two, thank you!

I haven’t written for sometime now.  It’s been quite a challenging month as Allison, my wife,  is on best rest with our second pregnancy and needless to say, I have been bizay!  Despite life’s “trials” we are so blessed to have such great and strengthening family & friends, who have made meals and even helped us pull off Sophia’s 2nd birhtday party this past weekend.  We entitled it the “princess pancake party.”  Due to the bed rest, the party was held in our courtyard . It was HOT!  But we had some shade, the pancake guru, Shae, making delicious whole grain super yummy princess pancakes, & the kids love the bubble machine.  Amidst running around and helping, I was able to catch a few shots to document my favorite little girls’ party.  Sophia, you are so loved.  Daddy loves yoU!

P.S. I’m so behind on blogging!  haha, i’ll have some new shoots posted soon, i promise!

my friend Guido

April 10, 2008

There are certain people that we all come across in our lives that inspire us, move us to be better humans, and explain love through the way they breathe and my friend Guido is that, for me. Guido and I met about 7 years ago, when I was singing and touring with my band, PAX217. We met in a mall in Nashville, TN and struck up a rich, deep, friendship. If I could only explain what he does and more importantly WHO he is, I would. I guess I will give it a try. He is a MAN, in the truest sense. A husband, father to 5 children of his own, and a father to many many more artists. He has invested himself for the past 25 years into the lives, families, and essentially the hearts, of many multi-platinum (and not multi-platinum, like myself) artists. He is an example of what it means to be a father and a fighter. He has given himself to extreme ends to speak life into artists through out the years. I’m so grateful to have crossed paths and built such an amazing a relationship. Last night, we connected at the spectrum on a whim. He is currently on a HUGE international tour, which I can’t mention, so I was quite lucky to be able to hang with him for a few hours. Here’s a shot I took of him in Nordstroms. Here’s to you Guido, you have made my life more powerful. Find what he does here, and if you’re on facebook, I invite you to add his “cause” and give to his work.
