Last month I flew out to shoot the Arrendales wedding with a friend of mine, Sarah from Eyeris photography, (she rules). My brother and friends live out there as well, so it was perfect! I was able to see a ton of old friends, shoot with Sarah, and meet Tandra & Richard. The wedding was at a church in brentwood (sorry i can’t remember). Big, beautiful, classic, Tennesean church, with one rule. NO photography during the ceremony….HUH? Brides, i wouldn’t suggest this. This is not going to be good if you’re hoping to relive those ceremony moments later in life. We were able to shoot a few shots before the ceremony & when they came out of the church, but wow, did we miss a lot of great moments, i’m sure.

The ceremony was at the Nashville Musicians Hall of Fame….sweet. I was in heaven. Large photos of Johnny Cash, Jimi Hendrix etc…, are you kidding me! And though my child like excitement over the guitars & photos we’re fighting for my attention, I had a job at hand with an awesome couple, The Arrendales. There we’re quite a few really fun details from the day. They had their own “band themed” posters made, beer insulators with their name on it, A live country band, Bobble heads made for everyone in the bridal party, and….drum roll please…..they left in the “General Lee” (the Dukes of Hazard car). All the perfect ingredients considering the location of the reception.

Check out the photos and if you’re ever in Nashville, well ya’ll better go check out the hall of fame.

i couldn’t help but give some of these images names….

Bidwell photoshoot

March 19, 2008

I had the pleasure of hanging out with Bidwell two weekends ago and photographing them for some promo/poster images. What a nice bunch of young men. They have been playing quite a bit and have just released a new EP. They printed posters from the second image here. These are a few of my favorites. Here’s something about photography that I love. For me, it’s not always the same. It can’t be. I’m always looking for someone interesting to shoot. From brides to rockstars, babies, to coffee farmers, people will never bore me. Check out bidwell’s new ep here. Very special thank you to my good friend Jeff Lefever, artist beyond your imagination, incredible photographer, and friend that gives & gives & gives, thanks for all your help with the shoot!

Post a comment about these, I’d love to hear some feedback!

OK, I know, I haven’t posted in a while. I’d like to give you about 43 excuses why, but I know you don’t want to hear it! I plan on working on posting a bunch of shoots, this week, but until then here’s something worth posting about! We had an
ultra sound today and tonight friends & family came over to open the envelope with us to find out whether its a girl or a boy. Watch this Lil video…&….celebrate with us!

We all need a little encouragement, strengthening, and i need it today…so i watched this. Napolean Hill….brilliant. enjoy!

This last week I was in Nashville, TN. My Brother, Aaron, moved there this last year as well as my old business partner, and close friend, Joshua. I shot a wedding with a new friend of mine, which i’ll be posting some shots from that in the next day or two.  But for now, I thought you might like to meet Jordan! This was a last minute session, Jordan and family are “family” to me and I was really grateful to get some time with her.  We shot for about 30 minutes over in the Hillsboro village area.  If you’re ever there, make sure to check out Fido and the Pancake Pantry…MMMMMM.

Jordan,  you killed it!  (she truly is sweet like southern apple pie)
