Yesterday, I had the privilege of photographing my brother for his new website. We met in the morning at The Lab and shot for an hr. and a half, then headed directly to jamba juice (my favorite thing) and dropped him off at the airport to head back to Nashville, TN where he resides. i think that was a run-on sentence…but let me brag on my brother for just a minute. Aaron Tosti, 24 years old, is an amazing drummer and talented song writer. He is currently playing with Hawk Nelson, has played on numerous albums AND he and I played in a band called PAX217 for many years. He is “really, really, really gooood looking” ( a little zoolander for ya) he is an intellect and a lover. Ok, i will stop now, but seriously, he is a great soul.

Well, it took about 6 hrs of editing, and creating, but i am proud to bring you our Tosti family Christmas slideshow. This is comprised of the 3 day extravaganza. Three different houses, three different families, and…the three of us. Pay close attention to the end of the slide show, there is a special surprise. Thank you to all of our family for making this such a wonderful year with nothing but good times. And ya thanks a lot for getting Sophia aisles 6-23 at Toys-R-Us, we now need a much larger place, or maybe a couple of storage units will do?

We’ve been especially blessed to have our cousin Felicia aka “fee-lee” out from Cape Cod, MA. She is the best, oh, and the best cook, trust me, you were jealous that you weren’t at our dinner table Christmas eve. Look out for the black and white shots of her and Sophia.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! We just opened some presents, Alli’s making some breakfast, the wind’s blowin like crazy. I figured since i haven’t blogged in about 3 weeks, which is absolutely preposterous, i would put somethin up that is quite entertaining. Check out this lil jib jab starring my brother in law, drew, his wife Ashley, Alli, Sophia, and yes, yours truly. I’m the guy who sort of looks like a monkey.

Yes, He’s from NY and came to visit us here in the “OC” today. It was a nice party. As i was shooting, i realized that this was the first time i’ve photographed an “American historical” event. These photos are as recent as today and might not carry as much significance now, however, when i’m 60, you’ll find me sitting around the table with my grandkids, telling them a story of how grandpa photographed mayor (maybe president) Guiliani. Now to do some homework on “Rudy” and our other candidates…..cheers.

I had the priviledge of photographing a party for the YPO of orange county last night.  There are certain times when you are in the presence of greatness, not necessarily of “success” but of those who have worked incredibly hard, believed in themselves and have reached a certain level that is quite inspiring.  In other words, i was in a room of Mr. miagi’s and i was Daniel son, with my camera. I thought i would post a few of my favorites.

This gentleman apparently has won the world championship for solving the rubics cube  the fastest. He even solved it behind his back. hey, if you’re gonna do something, do it better than anyone else.

Yes he looks the part and plays the part quite well.
